Fusion installed a brand-new solar PV system and replaced the current lighting solution with energy-efficent LEDs
South Charnwood School was looking for support to reduce their energy usage. They asked Fusion to analyse their current energy consumption, as well as to provide guidance for their Salix Energy Efficiency Fund (SEEF) application, which would enable them to receive funding for the renewable energy changes.
Fusion’s NICEIC-approved contractors carried out an initial site survey to review the school’s energy consumption and suggest improvements. We put together a proposal of recommended changes to meet South Charnwood School’s lower energy targets, before designing and installing new electrical systems.
This included installing a brand-new solar PV system and replacing the current lighting solution with energy-efficient LEDs. We also supported the school with their SEEF application, allowing them to secure an eight-year interest-free loan to help with the cost of improving their energy efficiency.
Fusion helped South Charnwood School to become much more energy-efficient, reducing their electrical CO2 emissions by 45.5% and providing a £12k saving on the school’s energy bill per annum.
Thanks to Fusion’s strong reputation and industry accreditations, we were able to provide MCS certification and NICEIC lighting certification on completion of the work.
