Leicester Hospitals - We are proud to be a nominated electrical contractor with approval by the EBA to work on any NHS Hospitals with in the East Midlands.

We helped to refurbish two of the older wards, 5 & 6, at Leicester General Hospital to house the Diabetes Centre, a vital part of the hospital’s research and education programme. Our challenge was to meet the tight deadline required by the hospital, and to minimise disruption to the hospital, its staff and patients while carrying out the work.

We installed a Fire Alarm system, New Door Access, all containment, earthling and bonding, wiring of mechanical services, High Integrity earthling, nurse call systems and new lighting within the required 3-month period.

At Leicester Royal Infirmary, we were awarded a 6-month project to refurbish Theatre Admissions in the Balmoral Building.

We began with a full strip out of Telephone, Access Control & Fire Alarm systems and replaced a new distribution board. As the building is a working department within the hospital, we were careful to avoid any disruption to the operation of the remainder of the site. Fusion provided necessary temporary works to enable all services within live areas to continue to operate.

The project was worth £150,000 and completed over a 16 week period in 2013. Thanks to the success of this project, Fusion have been awarded Phase 2 of this project from Interserve.

For the Bradgate Unit at the Glenfield Hospital, we completed a challenging project focusing on the refurbishment of the seclusion rooms, including anti-ligature works, lighting and power.
