2024 Electrical Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is one of the most common pathways to qualifying as an electrician, allowing you to learn on the job while earning a wage.

At Fusion, we’re always on the lookout for motivated people with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our team of qualified electrical engineers. We’re welcoming applications for electrical apprentices, for the next academic year, with a view to starting your apprenticeship with us in September 2024.

If you’re leaving school and looking to undertake a vocational qualification, an electrical apprenticeship is the perfect next step.

WHY CHOOSE AN ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP?

An apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to begin your career in electrical installation, allowing you to earn a salary while working towards an industry-recognised qualification.

You’ll work alongside highly experienced and fully qualified electricians, shadowing our current team to gain an understanding of their role. As you progress, you’ll be able to put what you’ve learned into practice in real-world settings, supporting Fusion’s electrical engineers in the repair and ongoing maintenance of various types of electrical equipment.

While working in the field, you’ll also attend college on a day-release or block-release basis, learning essential electrical installation theory and regulations in a classroom setting to underpin your practical knowledge.

If you want to join a reputable company and work as a member of a friendly, hardworking and experienced team of electrical engineers, this is the opportunity for you!

ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To apply for Fusion’s electrical apprenticeship, you must have already achieved maths and English GCSEs at grades C/4 and above (or equivalent).

Ideally, you should already have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as regular travel is required and you will be required to work alongside our team of electrical engineers at various sites nationally.

An apprenticeship typically lasts for four years, but you may be able to complete this sooner if you already have a qualification in electrical engineering.
