Complete electrical installation for Imagination Two at Knowsley Business Park for Wilten Construction

Imagination Two is a new 60,000 sqft industrial and warehousing building on Knowsley Business Park in Merseyside.

This is part of Indurent Park which comprises of 197,880 sqft of industrial and logistics space across two units. The creation of the new structures – managed by Wilten Construction – aims to create around 150 jobs, with 340 on-site jobs expected once construction is complete.

As part of the construction process, Fusion 360 were entrusted to deliver a complete electrical installation for Imagination Two – helping the new buildings achieve the BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) ‘Very Good’ accreditation.

This included the design and installation of their lighting, fire and security monitoring and solar panel system.

The challenge:

As the new structure was constructed from the ground up, it required a full electrical installation to ensure the floorspace could be used for a wide range of industrial, warehousing and logistics uses – as well as provide suitable electrical infrastructure for future staff.

Plus, the installation had to be completed within a 31-week programme to help keep the project on time.

This required an experienced and professional provider of electrical services, which is why Wilten Construction approached Fusion 360 for their electrical design and installation expertise.

How we’ve helped:

The Fusion 360 team delivered electrical design and installation for the Imagination Two building.

Working in-line with the programme, we provided the design and installation for internal and external lighting, as well as emergency lighting throughout the structure.

We also delivered security systems, including CCTV, fire alarms and secure data network and cabling, plus EV charging points.

To power these new electrical systems, our solar division installed a solar energy system, as well as a bespoke energy monitor panel linked directly to the distribution metering strategy.

The outcome:

Following our design and installation services, the Imagination Two building is now well-prepared for its future use as part of the economic landscape of Knowsley Business Park.

With internal and external lighting and extensive security systems throughout the construction, the building is ideal for commercial purposes, including industrial facilities, logistics or warehousing.

Plus, complete with new solar panels to power the electrical systems, it’s both future-proof and sustainable.
