The Challenge:
Fusion were awarded a 6-month project to refurbish Theatre Admissions in the Balmoral Building of the Leicester Royal Infirmary. The project was completed over a 16-week period in 2013.
How We Helped:
We began by fully stripping out telephone, access control and fire alarm systems, and installing a new distribution board.
As the building was a working department within the hospital, we were careful to avoid any disruption. Fusion provided necessary temporary works to enable all services within live areas to continue to operate throughout the project.
The Outcome:
As well as creating a modern and efficient space in the unit, we were able to ensure that Leicester Royal Infirmary staff were able to provide an ongoing service during the refurbishment. Thanks to the success of this project, Fusion were awarded Phase 2 of this project from Interserve.
