The Challenge:
One of the country’s leading employers had plans for a workplace nursery based at their head office in Enderby, Leicester.
We were awarded this exciting project in collaboration with B&K Building Services in 2013. The brief was to create a functional yet fun design for a nursery that delivered outstanding safety and efficiency.
How We Helped:
Our CAD service enabled us to gain full approval from the client before work commenced. We designed a comprehensive electrical system, including fire detection, structural IT cabling and LED emergency lighting.
It was vital for the IT system to link up with Head Office, and a key element was to ensure that the system was migrated seamlessly with no disruption. We also installed a 9kW solar PV system to generate power for the building and to meet renewable targets set out by local authorities.
The Outcome:
The nursery opened its doors in October 2013, offering 200 places in this modern and environmentally friendly facility.
