Residential solar PV panels installation at Archerfield Grange, Packington

In order to meet sustainability goals and provide residents with reliable, green solar energy, Keller Construction initiated a project to install new solar panels across the roofs of their new residential estate in Archerfield Grange, Packington, Leicestershire.

To do so, the estate’s construction company, Keller Construction, planned to purchase high-performing and aesthetic solar power systems across all six properties.

Drawing on our experience in electrical installations and solar energy, we were asked to design and install the new systems, helping to keep costs down whilst preserving the aesthetic integrity of the buildings.

The Challenge:

The project presented several challenges.

Each property required 3.68 kW inverters with 10 kWh battery storage to meet its energy demands.

The new solar PV panels needed to be carefully selected to complement the aesthetics of the properties, while offering a cost-effective supply and installation solution.

Given the residential location, the project required careful planning and attention to detail to ensure that each system was integrated smoothly into the existing architecture.

To meet these challenges, an electrical contractor with specialisms in renewable energy and proven experience in domestic solar panel installations was essential – which is why Keller Construction chose the Fusion Electrics team to assist.

How We Helped:

We began by designing and planning a system that met both performance and aesthetic goals.

After evaluating the requirements, we decided to install a Myenergi all-in-one system to deliver a reliable, sustainable power source with easy-to-use mobile integration – ensuring it would not compromise the visual aesthetics of each home.

An Eddi diverter was also installed, allowing any excess solar energy to be used to heat water storage tanks, ensuring no solar energy generated was wasted.

Once the homebuyers moved in, our team provided customer support to the residents – helping them get set up on the Myenergi App and giving them guidance to manage their home energy systems with confidence.

The Outcome:

With the solar panels successfully installed and the residents happily settled in, the Archerfield Grange properties have generated more than sufficient clean energy to heat, light and power their new homes.

Residents are already enjoying zero energy bills and are even getting paid by their electricity supplier for excess electricity produced by their new solar PV system!

The properties have received considerable local recognition, having been named finalists for the Medium Residential Scheme of the Year Award 2025 at ProCon Leicestershire this November praising their energy efficiency and subtle aesthetic design.

This project demonstrates the value of integrating renewable energy thoughtfully into domestic developments, showing how expert installation and resident support from the Fusion Electrics team can deliver long-term cost savings and positive community impact.
